Welcome to South Texas TORCH

South Texas TORCH is an organization formed by a professional community of Residential, Assisted Living, and Personal Care Home owners and operators. As the South Texas Chapter of the Texas Organization of Residential Care HomesLinks will open in a new browser window. (founded in 1984) we are dedicated to promoting living environments in the South Texas area that are conducive to emotional and physical well-being.

Residential Care Homes and Personal Care Homes allow for more individual attention. Many homes provide transportation to physicians' visits and in-house physician or nurse visits. We utilize local Home Health Agencies for doctor ordered therapies such as physical, speech or occupational therapies. All homes supply medication supervision, meals, housekeeping, stimulation and a safe supervised living environment. Many homes have interaction with pets and children.

Our members strive to create homes with dignity and validation for adults unable to live independently due to physical or mental limitations.

Mission

The objective of South Texas TORCH is simply to provide our residential care homes' residents a home where they feel safe, loved, and are treated with dignity and respect... To promote and implement the highest quality service and care to Residents of Residential Care and Personal Care Facilities throughout the South Texas area.
